ABSTRACT

The government of our country (Nigeria) today seem to pay much attention to certain issues of the economy. These include small scale enterprises (SMEs). This sector entails forming co-operative for a growing economy like ours. People and co-operate bodies need to help build the economy to sustain the future generation. This issues must  have to be introduced to our educational system to enable and cultivate the habit of understanding co-operative development and growth. This project or research was conducted to find some of the problems associated with co-operative field administration in a named local government area in Udi LGA of Enugu State.

In chapter 2(two), some of the related literature review was highlighted. Need for forming a co-operative was there. Its features, importance and problem which is the subject matter.

Chapter three focused on the research design and methodology. Some of the sample procedure survey pattern or method and research question was prescribed. The question was numbered 1 to 10. Date presentation and analysis was discussed in detail.

Chapter four was focusing on the summary of finding, recommendation and conclusion. This is an important chapter. It covers this the  bibliography and questionnaires with the research question a sample.

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

Co-operative field administration is the task or work performed by the staff of the co-operative department in the ministry of commerce, industry and technology. It also involves the official work of a co-operative assistance or inspectors as known formally.

The duty of field administration is assigned to the co-operative assistant by the director of the co-operative department.

Duties:

  2. Auditing duties
  3. Advisory duties
  4. Education duties
  5. Arbitration duties

 

  1. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

In the early stage of a co-operatives movement, the method by which co-operators used to maintain their societies was so crude and the number of co-operatives societies so small that each individuals was no doubt sees a third party (Assistant) as an enemy.
